The County Attorney supervises and manages the work of staff in the County Attorney’s Office and any outside legal counsel providing services to the clients of the Office.
The Fauquier County Attorney’s Office is looking for an experienced attorney and leader for the position of Deputy County Attorney. The position reports directly to the County Attorney. Duties will include providing legal and litigation assistance to the County’s boards, commissions, departments, Constitutional Officers and agencies. A preferred candidate must have at 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney and at least 5 years of experience as a counsel to a Virginia local government with both significant land use law and civil litigation experience.

The Town of Front Royal seeks an Assistant Town Attorney. The successful candidate will assume a supporting role in providing legal services to the Town Council and to other public bodies and departments of the Town on a broad range of matters, with primary responsibility for enforcement of Town Code provisions, various areas of transactional work, and FOIA compliance.
