2027 Spring Conference | Local Government Attorneys of Virginia

The LGA Board of Directors is excited to host the 2027 Spring Conference and pilot two-day program in person at the Colonial Williamsburg Lodge, April 29-30, 2027.

Registration Information:

Registration opens March 11 online HERE.
Registrations after April 8 incur a $50 late fee. Registration closes April 22.
Register manually by completing the printable registration form and mailing with payment or emailing it to lauren.salsbury@easterassociates.com.
Full-conference registration includes the ONP and Awards Banquet. If you plan to attend, please check the box in registration marked “Opening Night Party (SELECT IF YOU ARE A FULL OR SOCIAL REGISTRANT)” and “Awards Reception & Banquet (SELECT IF YOU ARE A FULL OR SOCIAL REGISTRANT).”
Guests must register as Social Only registrants. Please check the box in registration marked “Opening Night Party (SELECT IF YOU ARE A FULL OR SOCIAL REGISTRANT)” and “Awards Reception & Banquet (SELECT IF YOU ARE A FULL OR SOCIAL REGISTRANT).”
Daily registration DOES NOT include the ONP and Awards Banquet. If you plan to attend, please check the boxes in registration marked “Opening Night Party (SELECT ONLY IF YOU ARE A DAILY REGISTRANT)” and “Awards Reception & Banquet (SELECT ONLY IF YOU ARE A DAILY REGISTRANT).” Social events are $100 each, $120 each after September 10.

Room Block:
LGA has negotiated a room block with rates starting at $199++ per night. One night’s room and tax is required at the time of registration. The room block will close April 8 or once the block is full.

REMEMBER – register then reserve! Rooming link will be provided in the confirmation email. Please refrain from reserving under a single name; each hotel reservation should be under the name of the ATTENDEE, and multiple rooms reserved under the same name will be flagged.

NOTE: Our program begins Friday morning, April 29 and ends Friday afternoon, April 30.

Law Fellow and Student Scholarships:
Law student and law fellow scholarship applications are available for LGA spring and fall conferences. Applications are due three weeks before the conference start. Please encourage your office’s law student interns, externs, and post-graduate law fellows to apply. LGA Service Awards

The LGA Service Awards recognizes those attorneys from the association’s active-member localities (as well as full-time legal staff with the Virginia Municipal League and Virginia Association of Counties) who have served local government in Virginia for 15 years or more. 3 – 5:30 p.m. 2027 LGA Spring Board of Directors meeting and

6 – 8 p.m. Board of Directors dinner with Annual and Annual+ sponsors

Thursday, April 29

10:30 a.m. – noon: General Session A (1.5 hours)

Noon – 12:15 p.m.: Annual Meeting

12:15 – 1:30 p.m.: Awards luncheon

1:45 – 3:15 p.m.: Concurrent Sessions 1 & 2 (1.5 hours)

3:15 – 3:30 p.m.: Afternoon Break

3:30 – 5:30 p.m.: General Session B (Ethics 2.0 hours)

6 – 7 p.m. Friends of Bill W. meeting

Evening – Opening Night Party at the Williamsburg Inn on the Virginia Lawn (indoor back up at Colonial Williamsburg Lodge Virginia Room)
