Results of the second wave of the Jefferson Area Community Survey show that residents of the greater Charlottesville region strongly supported Democratic candidates for President and the United States Senate in this week's elections.

The Center for Survey Research has released the findings of a poll of Virginia voters in advance of the upcoming elections for the Presidency and the United States Senate. Results show that both races are virtual dead heats.

CSR is currently surveying all living UVa alumni with email addresses. CSR will soon contact a sample of alumni without email addresses by U.S. mail. The survey is being conducted on behalf of Dr. Michael Lenox and Mr. Andrew King, faculty researchers at the UVa Batten Institute.

On March 11 & 12 results were released from questions placed on the Jefferson Area Community Survey by local non-profit Charlottesville Tomorrow in cooperation with the Center for Survey Research.

The 2011 Dan River Region Social Capital Survey was conducted by CSR in the spring of 2011. This telephone survey included 1,140 randomly selected individuals living in the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County and Caswell County, NC.

In August 2011 the University of Virginia Center for Survey Research released the results of its recent telephone survey in the National Capital Region.

CSR presented results of its recent methodological research at the annual AAPOR meetings in May 2011.  CSR is showing that survey costs can be lowered, without introducing serious error, if part of the telephone sample is drawn from telephone directories rather than being randomly dialed.

The Weldon Cooper Center Inaugural Softball Game was a big success! Team First Floor captured the "Win" with a 12-7 victory over Team Second Floor. However, Team Second Floor is to be commended for a great comeback. Unfortunately, we didn't come out unscathed by injury - one broken arm, one broken foot, and one pulled muscle - oh and a few other aches and pains.
